The Greatest Shoal On Earth

At its peak, it’s easily one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena. A melting pot in which marine and bird life come together in a way that’s never experienced at any other time. Dubbed by many as “The Greatest Shoal On Earth”, the sardine run occurs when millions of sardines migrate through the east coast of South Africa towards the warm waters of Mozambique.

Sharks, whales, dolphins and seagulls all gather together in one massive feast. And there’s no better place to experience this natural wonder than the Eastern Cape.
